Kelsey Malloy

Kelsey Malloy

Kelsey is an Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware and leads the Malloy Climate research group. Please see the CV and Research tabs for more information about her professional interests. Outside research, Kelsey is involved in science communication projects (Seasoned Chaos) and is teaching or has taught courses in climate variability, climate dynamics, and weather/climate forecasting.



Ashley Fanning

Ashley Fanning

Ashley Fanning is a Ph.D. Climatology student in UD’s Department of Geography and Spatial Sciences. Graduating in May 2025 from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology, she joined the research group in August 2025. Ashley’s research interests include subseasonal to seasonal prediction of climate extremes, understanding large-scale atmospheric circulation, and both chronic and acute temperature extremes. Outside of academia, Ashley enjoys hiking, running, cooking, reading, and crocheting, and she is originally from West Chester, PA.
